Wednesday we would find ourselves at Great Escape Six Flags. You can read about the first event of the day on My Writing page. It was ( to say the least) a very traumatic experience for me. I would not wish it on any mother. I will pause here so you can read the story.
Okay, now that you have read it you understand why I was a bit of a crazy woman. After that I needed a drink but since it was 1130 in the morning I felt that it could wait a few more hours. The kids rode a few more coasters, had some lunch and were looking to go to the water park. BUT before we do that Matt, Hunter and Zachary decided to be a human sling shot and go on the sky coaster. There are pictures on the Picture page. They were 165 feet in the air, had a 50 foot free fall and went 70 mph. I was fine with it. No Problem. I'll just sit here calmly and take some photos. You all go ahead. cough cough. Really! How much can one woman take. Apparently a lot. They survived without incident.
We spent a good deal of the afternoon at the water park. Once everyone was sufficiently pruney. We headed towards the exit. BUT, not before we all do the trampoline bungee thingy. You know, you get in a harness and are bounced on a trampoline to great heights and oh ya do a few flips while your 10 feet off the ground. No Problem. It actually went really well. All of my kids had a turn and Arael was last. She was bouncing alone having a jolly good time when one of her cords snapped. I took that as a sign that I needed to grab my kids and get the hell out of there.
We left the park tired but happy. Happy that my family was still in tact. For dinner that night we went to a Japanese Restaurant where they cook right in front of you...ya that one. It was a great experience for the kids. There was food flying and large flames. I had a few tall glasses of The Captain, we bonded. All in all it was a nice time. So on to my next adventure. Weekend at Birney's. See you there!!
